Sky Sports is to re-run the final hour of last year’s Players Championship with live insight from tournament winner Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy will join Nick Dougherty and Brandel Chamblee live from 9.35pm tonight (Tuesday, April 28) to watch the closing holes of last year’s Players Championship as the current world number one came out on top in dramatic fashion.
Sky Sports Golf customers can tune in to follow the action earlier in the day from 6pm, before McIlroy describes in his own words his winning shots as he holds onto a slender lead over runner-up Jim Furyk, landing two birdies to ensure he remained clear of the chasing pack.
McIlroy will offer his memories of every shot from his closing stretch, including the back-to-back birdies from the 15th and that incredible tee shot at the last, plus share insights and other stories from a memorable week in Florida.
Meanwhile Tuesday also sees the first edition of the ‘The Golf Show’ live from 2pm tomorrow on Sky Sports News and repeated from Sky Sports Golf at 5pm.
