Danish twins Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard have secured spots in the upcoming Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the first event of the DP World Tour Play-Offs, set for November 7-10 at Yas Links. This marks the 19th edition of the tournament, which also serves as the fourth Rolex Series event of the season and introduces the new format for the DP World Tour’s season-ending Play-Offs.
The competition will feature the top 70 players from the Race to Dubai Rankings, competing for a chance to advance to the DP World Tour Championship. Alongside the Højgaard twins, the field will showcase elite talent, including four-time Major champion and current Race to Dubai leader Rory McIlroy, former Major winners Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, and Adam Scott, as well as Olympic silver medallist Tommy Fleetwood.
Rasmus Højgaard, currently ranked third on the Race to Dubai leaderboard, has had a standout season highlighted by his fifth DP World Tour win at the Amgen Irish Open in September. Although McIlroy leads the rankings by nearly 2,000 points, a strong finish in Abu Dhabi could put Rasmus in contention for the overall Race to Dubai title if he continues his impressive run into the DP World Tour Championship.

Nicolai Højgaard, fresh off a tied ninth-place finish at the Genesis Championship and consistent performances in France and Spain, moved up to 67th in the Race to Dubai, clinching his place in Abu Dhabi. Nicolai, who represented Europe in the 2023 Ryder Cup, is focused on defending his DP World Tour Championship title and aims to finish strong.
