1. The Masters

Arguably the most well-known golf tournament in the world. Famous for the winner receiving that much wanted green jacket to show you are number one. 2. The Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) Championship

 

Setting off in May 2024, the PGA Championship is set to take place in Kentucky in the USA at the Valhalla Golf Club.

 

Each year, a different venue is selected to host the much-anticipated tournament, with the Valhalla Golf Club this year’s choice. Each venue is carefully selected to ensure the pro golfers are put to their tests and pushed to the absolute limit to ensure only the best come out on top.

 

Current champion Brooks Koepka is the current champion after winning the 2023 PGA tournament, but with players such as Scottie Scheffler and Rory Mcllroy favourites for the tournament, it’s going to be very tough to be crowned champion this year.

 

Currently, Walter Hagen and Jack Nicklaus hold the record for the most titles under their belts with both currently holding five titles.

 

3. The US Open

Originating back to 1895, the US open is a tournament with some serious history. Known all around the world, the US open is due to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina USA at the Pinehurst no.2 Golf Club.

 

What makes the US open so special, is technically any golfer can make it to the finals, providing they make it through a series of qualifying rounds. This means, any golfers, amateur or pro, can make it to the finals and compete for glory. This makes for a great watch, as you’ll get low seeded players make it in and cause an upset in the rankings, sometimes beating some of the best players in the world.

 

The record for most wins is currently held by a few players, Willie Anderson, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and you guessed it, Jack Nicklaus, all with four victories to their names.

 

4. The British Open

The British Open, being held in Scotland UK at the Royal Troon golf club, this one is sure to be a classic. The oldest of the professional golf tournaments, dating back to the 1860’s, the British Open has had some classic tournaments and is full of history.

 

The most victories is currently held by Harry Vardon who has won the tournament six times.
