The Ladies European Tour Access Series has announced two new events on the 2022 calendar as a part of the Trust Golf Links Series that will bring LETAS back to the UK after a three-year hiatus.
Trust Golf, part of the TCT Corporation, will sponsor the Trust Golf Links Series that will be hosted in back-to-back weeks in England and in Scotland.
Ramside Golf Club near Newcastle will be hosting the first of the events from 6-8 July after which the players will move north to Scotland to compete at The Musselburgh Golf Club from 14-16 July.
In each 54-hole event, 126 players will compete for prize funds of €40,000 and the top two players will earn a place in the 2022 Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open, to be played at Dundonald Links on 28-31 July.
John Adamson, Managing Director of Ramside Estates, said: “We are thrilled to host and support the LET Access Series while welcoming professional women’s golf to the North East.”
The Trust Golf Links tournament will take place on Ramside’s Cathedral Course, with its challenging terrain and stunning surroundings. Designer Jonathan Gaunt, of Gaunt Golf Design, said: “I am looking forward to the professionals testing their strategic approach and skills around the Cathedral Course.”
Helen Roseberry, Director at Ramside Hall, added: “We are excited about the opportunity to host our first professional women’s event on one of our courses at Ramside Hall.”
