Solheim Cup star Mel Reid is to host a special golf day at The Buckinghamshire Golf Club next month that is designed to give golfing dads the opportunity to spend quality time with their daughter/s while improving their swing.
The Dads & Daughters golf masterclass, sponsored by Foreign Exchange specialists Caxton FX, will take place at The Buckinghamshire on Tuesday 18 August.
The masterclass will be run by Ladies European Tour professional and Caxton FX Allstar Ambassador Mel Reid, who recently won the Turkish Airlines Open and is currently on target to play in the European team at this year’s Solheim Cup.
Ask most sports women how they got into their sports, and they’ll tell you that it was the father figure in their lives who took them down to the football pitch, tennis court or driving range. It was no different for Mel. Ask her what she enjoyed most about a Sunday morning with her dad Brian at Chevin Golf Club, and she’d answers: “Just being with my dad. It’s as simple and powerful as that.”
