Windlesham Golf Club Ladies Invitation Day

The Windlesham Golf Club Ladies Invitation Day was held on 21st June.  As well as being the longest day, it felt like it was also the hottest day of the year.  Nevertheless, 68 ladies enjoyed some excellent golf in glorious sunshine.  There was a light-hearted spirit for the day, starting with the ladies team names, such as The Buggy Belles; The Water Babies; The Pink Ladies  – with Ice; The Srixon 4.  The main competition was a team Stableford.

In addition, Chris & Andy Devonport provided the Beat the Pro challenge on the 14th and Chris Bell ran the putting competition.  As has become traditional for this event, The Highwaymen provided and served the cakes at the half-way house and these were very much appreciated.  Leigh and the agronomy team presented the course in outstanding condition, once again.  After the golf, the ladies enjoyed a refreshing glass of Pimms followed by a sumptuous cold buffet provided by Jay and the team.

1^st Place – Score: 121 – Fore, par-tee, birdies
