The St Andrews Sports Bar at Portal Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa has officially reopened following a major refurbishment.
Located within the luxurious surroundings of the Tarporley-based resort, the revamped bar offers a welcoming and relaxed space for golfers to unwind after a round on one of the venue’s three acclaimed golf courses.
The reimagined space includes seating for up to 100 guests and blends sport, socialising, and comfort in one stylish setting.
The bar now features a unique eight-foot sloping putting green, extending the golf experience beyond the course and offering a fun, competitive element for guests of all ages and abilities.
The interior design has been fully refreshed, drawing on contemporary influences and comfortable touches.
The bar’s festival-style menu includes casual favourites such as burgers and pizzas, with food served throughout the day and evening.
The drinks selection features a wide range of beers, ales, and ciders, alongside wines, premium spirits—including a selection of single malts from Loch Lomond Whiskies—and non-alcoholic beverages.

Open to all, the St Andrews Sports Bar also features a dedicated members’ area and is available for exclusive hire, making it ideal for hosting corporate gatherings, charity events, or private celebrations.
