Srixon updates Q-Star Tour balls

SRIXON is launching the fifth generation of its Q-STAR TOUR ball and a new version of the Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE, both of which are designed to offer maximum greenside spin and tour-level performance for moderate swing speed players.

Q-STAR TOUR

As Srixon’s softest tour-level performance ball to date, the all-new Q-STAR TOUR features a reformulated FastLayer Core, softer urethane cover, and Spin Skin technology to give those with swing speeds of between 80-90mph more distance and control than ever before.

“The new Q-STAR TOUR is a high-calibre option for players wanting to hit the ball farther, see more spin around the greens, and have more control across the course,” said Joe Miller, European Product Manager, Srixon Sports Europe. “Players can work the ball tee to green with confidence and with an updated FastLayer Core, they can generate more ball speeds and distance without compromising feel.”

Creating a faster golf ball while still maintaining great feel begins with the Q-STAR TOUR’s new FastLayer Core. This generation’s reformulated core has a slightly higher compression rating than its predecessor. This new core promotes better ball speed off the tee, while also reducing long-game sidespin in Woods and Irons shots for more accuracy and control.

Around the greens, the Q-STAR TOUR packs world-class spin and control thanks to its ultra-thin, premium urethane cover that’s now even softer than the previous generation. Srixon’s specialized Spin Skin coating increases friction on every strike by digging deep into club face grooves, maximising spin for more control and stopping power on approach shots.

To help maximize distance, a 338 dimple pattern increases lift and reduces drag for a more penetrating ball flight, even in the wind.

RRP: £36.99 for 12 (White or Yellow)

Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE

Srixon is also set to release the second generation of the Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE. With its 50/50 premium urethane cover and 360° alignment, it has proved a popular choice for golfers who want to see how they’re rolling the ball on the greens, as well as how the ball spins on short chips. The only difference to the Q-Star Tour is that it doesn’t feature the Spin Skin coating.

“The new Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE helps golfers align more accurately on the putting greens and see the way the ball spins on pitch and chip shots for more visual feedback,” said Joe Miller. “It’s a great way to see the game.”

RRP: £36.99 for 12  (Yellow/Blue, Yellow/Orange, Yellow/Red).

Both balls will be at retail from February 24.
