KINGSWOOD LOOK TO THE FUTURE

Kingswood Golf and Country Club in Surrey is on a mission to elevate their 1928 James Braid designed golf course by focusing on playing surfaces to heighten player experience and have recruited the expertise of The R&A Sustainable Agronomy Service.

Working with their Senior Agronomist, Simon Watson, a plan has been formulated which includes data driven decision making and long-range planning within a sustainable mainframe to evolve the parkland course which in its past has hosted the Ladies’ European Open.

General Manager, Ashley Northridge, commented, “With the challenge of managing the course with changing weather patterns and a desire to enhance our golf course to impress members and guests, we felt it key to bring on board an organisation that would help us achieve our goals in a sustainable manner.

We are totally onboard and already at the second visit stage and are delighted to see the changes already making a difference. The course has weathered the winter well and is on target for a fast start to the spring/summer season.

We are excited to see where the journey will take us especially with our centenary in 2028 when we will be hosting the Surrey Amateur Championship.”

Set in the rolling hills looking out to the Surrey Hills countryside, Kingswood Golf and  Country Club boasts a recently refurbished large clubhouse with purpose-built event spaces and a comfortable onsite modern 18-room boutique hotel.

Golf comprises of an 18-hole  course measuring 6,927 yards, par 72, 12-bay driving range, putting green and hitting net.
