Georgia Hall is to make her debut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship next week after accepting a special exemption to compete in the second women’s Major of 2017, which begins at Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois on June 29.
The 21 year old from Dorset, who is a full-time member on the Ladies European Tour, is not a stranger to America, having competed in the 2015 US Women’s Open, 2013 ANA Inspiration, 2013 PING Junior Solheim Cup and 2014 Curtis Cup.
She currently sits fourth on the LET’s Order of Merit and top of the European Solheim Cup points list, after two top-five finishes in the early part of the year at the World Ladies Championship and Lalla Meryem Cup.
Hall joins an elite field for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship that includes defending champion Brooke Henderson, World No.1 Ariya Jutanugarn, Lydia Ko and Americans Lexi Thompson, Cristie Kerr and Stacy Lewis. Hall is currently ranked 106th in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
