CLEVELAND INTRODUCES LAUNCHER XL 2 DRIVERS & HALO XL WOODS

CLEVELAND GOLF has released details of its new range of Launcher XL 2 Drivers and three new HALO XL Woods, all of which go on sale from February 17.

LAUNCHER XL 2 DRIVERS (£426)

The Launcher XL 2 line combines maximum distance and forgiveness, while introducing all-new performance features to take golfers’ long game to new heights.

“From top to bottom, the Launcher XL 2 was designed with the avid golfer in mind,” said Joe Miller, European Product Manager, Cleveland Golf Europe. “We want players to feel confident off the tee and know they’re going to get the most out of their round with the best club in the bag. Across the board players are going to see a noticeable difference in distance, feel, and consistency.”

The Launcher XL 2’s optimal performance lies within its MainFrame XL Face technology. A new AI-driven process helped create a variable thickness face design that reshapes and enlarges the sweet spot, improves energy transfer, and delivers powerful ball speeds for maximum distance.

Another key feature is its XL head design and weighting setup that delivers even more MOI than its predecessor, registering a 2% increase in heel/toe MOI and 12% increase in high/low MOI – the highest levels ever in a Cleveland driver.

To further enhance playability, the Launcher XL 2 has an adjustable hosel, allowing golfers to fine-tune their launch angle, distance, and shot shape.

Alongside the Launcher XL 2, is the Launcher XL 2 Draw Driver, specifically designed to assist golfers who struggle with a slice. Featuring an adjustable hosel and a reworked chassis, golfers can enjoy more control over their tee shots and find more consistency off the tee.

HALO XL Fairway Woods (£269)

The all-new HALO XL Fairway Woods, Hy-Woods, and Hybrids bring power and forgiveness to the long game, with optimized tech features to help golfers get the ball off the ground. Upgraded GlideRail technology uses rails along the sole of the club to help deliver a cleaner interaction through the turf, while maintaining a square face through impact. Meanwhile, AI-designed MainFrame XL technology shapes and expands the sweet spot to boost distance and repositions weight low and deep in the clubhead for added forgiveness and consistency.

HALO XL Hy-Wood (£259)

With its unique head size, shape, and shaft length falling directly between a fairway wood and hybrid, the HALO XL Hy-Wood helps maintain proper gapping at the top of the bag for more control and added distance. Additionally, the HALO XL Hy-Wood has a new 4+ loft offering, giving golfers more options than ever before.

HALO XL Hybrids (£239)

For those seeking a long-Iron or fairway wood substitute, HALO XL Hybrids bring added versatility to the long game, helping golfers break out of tough lies around the course. HALO XL Hybrids also feature GlideRail and MainFrame XL technology to inspire confidence with every swing.

Key features in both the Launcher XL 2 and HALO XL Woods are Cleveland’s Rebound Frame technology and Action Mass CB. Rebound Frame’s alternating dual-flex zones increase the amount of energy directed into the ball, amplifying ball speed and distance on every shot. Meanwhile, Action Mass CB is an 8g counterbalance weight that’s placed into the end of the shaft for a more balanced, stable swing feel and more control without extra effort.

“We wanted to close the gap of miss-hits avid golfers make with their long Irons throughout the round and designed three models that offer better scoring opportunities,” Miller said. “We filled spots in the bag where golfers tend to struggle, we’ve extended lofts, optimized every tech feature to each specific model’s performance goals, and we feel this is our most versatile line of Woods we’ve ever had at Cleveland Golf.”
