Callaway’s new range of CB wedges, which go on sale from July 7, are designed to deliver incredible spin and feel for golfers who prefer a little more forgiveness than is offered in a traditional player’s wedge.
From player-friendly shaping, premium feel technologies, and aggressive grooves, the CB wedges have been created for players who want maximum confidence from their short game.
The cavity back design delivers a friendlier shape at address to benefit playability on all types of wedge shots, while the larger head size and grooves across the face add confidence at address. On the sole, a pre-worn leading edge acts like a skid plate to avoid digging, and it’s paired with higher bounce for even more forgiveness.
The CB is the first Callaway wedge to feature the company’s unique Urethane Microspheres. These are strategically placed behind the centre of the face to enhance feel and sound.
Featuring aggressive Jaws grooves, which have been treated with a face blast to enhance surface roughness on the face, CB wedges deliver maximum spin on short shots around the green. Full face grooves on the 54°, 56°, 58° and 60° models ensure maximum groove-to-ball contact wherever you strike the ball on the face.
True Temper’s Elevate 95 is the stock steel shaft, while graphite options are available from Project X Catalyst (65g) and UST F1 in a WMS flex. A Golf Pride specialist wedge grip is longer than standard to enable users to choke down on the club for enhanced distance control.
