It’s hard enough to pick the winner of one professional golf tournament, so hats off to the anonymous punter who found the winners of no fewer than three events that concluded over the weekend.
The master gambler in question called into their local BoyleSports betting shop in Dublin at the weekend to place two separate bets on three golf tournaments being held on the European Tour, PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour.
The lucky punter placed a €1 each-way treble on Spain’s Jorge Campillo to win the Trophee Hassan II at 22-1 (pictured above), Minjee Lee to win the Hugel-Air Premia LA Open at 18-1 and Ryan Palmer/Jon Rahm to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at 14-1.
All three selections obliged for the €2 stake, with a handsome sum of €6,667.86 returning to the Dublin native. But that wasn’t all, as the customer also placed €0.50 doubles on the same three selections amounting to a stake of €1.50 to return the amount of €533.50.
The combined each=way treble and doubles all landed, resulting in the client calling back into their BoyleSports shop on Monday to collect an impressive €7,201.36 from a stake of just €3.50.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “A huge congratulations are for our lucky client from South Dublin, who pulled off a monumental bet to collect a tidy sum of €7,201.36. To get one outright win in the golf is hard but to get all three selections at the weekend was very impressive from a small stake of €3.50. We wish our customer the best of luck with their winnings.”
