Cobra Puma Golf has signed Ladies European Tour player Carly Booth to a multi-year equipment, clothing and footwear contract.
Formerly with Nike Golf, the 24 year old from Scotland has won twice since turning professional in 2009, picking up the Scottish Open and Swiss Open title in consecutive months back in 2012. She finished 65th in last season’s LET Order of Merit and is currently ranked 485th in the world rankings.
Ranked the top junior in Europe after winning the European Junior Masters in 2007, Booth won the Scottish U18 and U21 titles, and in 2008 became the youngest player to represent GB & Ireland in the 76-year history of the Curtis Cup. She also played at the Junior Ryder Cup in 2006 and 2008, and won the Daily Telegraph Finals in 2007 and 2008.
Booth will be wearing footwear, accessories and apparel from Puma’s SS17 range, and playing with Cobra’s King Ltd driver, a King Ltd fairway wood (17.5), a King Utility iron (20), King Forged Tec irons (4-PW), and King Versatile wedges (50, 55, 60) for the start of the LET season in 2017.
In signing with Cobra Puma, Booth joins a growing team of brand ambassadors that includes Lexi Thompson, Blair O’Neil, Rickie Fowler, Jonas Blixt and Bryson Dechambeau.
“I’ve heard some great things about Cobra golf clubs, and over the years Rickie and Lexi have worn the brand well. The Puma gear is great, I have always liked it, and it’s nice to be part of the family. This could be a really good change for me,” said Booth.
Mark Freeman, general manager for Cobra Puma Golf UK & Ireland, added: “Carly is a great ambassador for the brand. Not only is she a proven winner on the Ladies European Tour, but also a great personality with a large following. Her love and dedication to fitness mirrors that of the Puma brand and we look forward working with Carly and playing a part in her future success.”
