Motocaddy backs Golf & Health Week with social media competition

In support of next week’s R&A campaign to raise awareness of the health benefits of golf, leading trolley brand Motocaddy is running a social media competition to encourage golfers to maximise their enjoyment by getting out and playing as much as possible.

Motocaddy is asking golfers to head out on the golf course and take a photo of themselves on a slope or angle using any Motocaddy electric trolley for a chance to win a new M1 DHC (Downhill Control) trolley with lithium battery worth £599.99. By posting the photo to one of the brand’s social media platforms and using the dedicated #GolfHealthWeek and #MotocaddyPhotoComp hashtags, two lucky winners will be chosen at random on Tuesday 23 April. The competition runs from Monday 15 – Monday 22 April, inclusive.

“We want golfers out on the course having fun and the Golf and Health Week is a fantastic initiative by the R&A to encourage golfers, non-golfers and lapsed golfers to take part in the sport,” said Motocaddy chairman David Wells. “If we can do anything to help get the message out there, while highlighting the health and performance benefits offered by powered trolleys, then we’re proud to be in support. One of the great benefits of an electric trolley is that you can leave your trolley to carry your bag, while you focus on enjoying your round and playing your best.”

In addition to its compact folded size, the M1 DHC trolley features downhill braking, all terrain wheels and an electronic parking brake, allowing a constant speed to be maintained while moving down even the steepest of slopes. As with other models in the latest M-Series range, it also uses the brand’s new 28.8V high power system, which not only offers unrivalled efficiency, but also more than twice as much power as traditional trolleys.

“It’s well known that there are huge benefits to performance, health and concentration when using an electric trolley,” said Wells. “We are proud to say that electric trolleys are probably the piece of equipment that has helped golfers to keep playing longer and more often than any other, so there’s never been a better time to get out on the course to improve your fitness and wellbeing than during Golf and Health week.”

The social media platforms available to upload competition entries are Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Tag @MotocaddyGolf and use the hashtags #GolfHealthWeek and #MotocaddyPhotoComp to enter.
